The SHN strings are made from an organic plastic based on sugar cane. Hence the name "sugar" or "sugar strings". The tone of these strings is brilliant, clean and concise in attack, has great acoustic power as well as more sustain. Although the surface is extremely smooth, the grip on the fingers is remarkable, i.e. these are not slippery strings. SHN strings are produced in three colours: light brown-yellow imitating gut (type SHN), red (type SHR) and blue (type SHB).
